I’m Erica and I quite like taking pictures.
After several years of shooting weddings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I realized my passion lies in natural light and timeless portrait, branding, and travel photography. I would love to capture your family’s candid moments and milestones, or help set your business up for more success through a branding session. And if you’re National Geographic or a boutique hotel in Ljubljana reading this… travel photography is my soul’s passion and I’d REALLY love to work with you, too.
I’ve always enjoyed photography but really started pursuing it after college when I moved to Madrid, Spain. I spent much of my two years there with my eyes glued to the old, ornate architecture, traveling as much as possible, and teaching myself so much about photography that I forgot to learn Spanish. When I moved back to Dallas, a professional photographer and wonderful friend took me under her wing and, with great patience and steadfast encouragement, taught me the rest. I’ll always be grateful for her kind mentorship.
Oh, yeah! I’m a flight attendant, too! I travel for that job about three days a week and shoot on my off days while I’m home. I also have an online print shop called The One with Wanderlust where I sell my travel photography. I’ve always said my dream job would be to travel the world and take pictures… and I finally found my own way to make that dream my reality.
When we meet, you’ll probably hear me talk about Olive. She’s my mellow, yet dramatic and very large Old English Sheepdog. I’ve had some clients with in-front-of-camera nerves request her presence at shoots. Yes, seriously—ha! She has a goofy and calming spirit and she’s available as an emotional support dog on our shoot day, free of charge.
